Hisense is positioning the E8S as a value-driven alternative to more established premium brands, and the strategy is obvious from the spec sheet alone. The TV comes with a 144 Hz display, Full Array Local Dimming, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos and a built-in subwoofer, all of which are features that would have been reserved for far costlier models not long ago.
Design-wise, the E8S keeps things restrained and modern. The slim unibody construction gives it a clean profile, while thin bezels help the display dominate the viewing experience. It is the kind of design that should fit comfortably into a contemporary living room without drawing attention to itself when switched off. The semi-matte, anti-reflective panel is another practical touch. It does not eliminate reflections entirely, but it noticeably reduces glare in rooms with ambient light, which is a meaningful advantage for Indian homes where daylight and mixed lighting are often part of the viewing environment.
The included stand uses two feet and is straightforward to assemble. It is not flashy, but it is stable and functional, which is often more important than decorative flourishes. Connectivity is also well covered. The E8S offers four HDMI ports, including HDMI 2.1 support, two USB 2.0 ports, an antenna connector, a satellite connector, a LAN port and optical audio output.
