Fed Officials Split on Timing as Inflation Fight Continues
Federal Reserve Vice Chair Philip Jefferson said there is no immediate need for another interest rate move, stressing that policy decisions should remain data-dependent as officials assess inflation, growth and risk. Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari, meanwhile, said the timing of any further hike is uncertain but left open the possibility of more tightening if the economy stays resilient and inflation remains above target.
