Karnataka Flour Mills Seek Bigger Wheat Share Under OMSS After Shortfall in October Auction
Flour millers in Karnataka are pressing for a larger allocation of wheat under the Centre’s Open Market Sale Scheme after receiving only 6,000 tonnes in the October 21 auction. That quantity met barely 17 per cent of the association’s estimated weekly requirement of 34,600 tonnes, raising concerns over supply adequacy and cost pressures in the state’s milling industry.
