Sentinel-3C Sends Back First Earth Images, Marking Fresh Boost for Climate Monitoring
Europe’s Sentinel-3C satellite has returned its first views of Earth, a milestone that confirms the spacecraft is functioning after launch and begins the next phase of calibration for climate and ocean monitoring. The images are an early but important signal for a mission designed to sharpen measurements of sea surface temperature, ocean colour, land surfaces and ice dynamics at a time when climate data is increasingly central to policy and energy planning.
