GLP-1 Weight-Loss Drugs May Be Rewriting Biological Age, But the Side Effects Picture Is Still Unclear
New research presented at an aging conference in Boston suggests that GLP-1 weight-loss drugs may do more than reduce body weight and blood sugar: in some patients, they appear to be associated with biological ages two to three years younger than comparable peers. The findings add to growing interest in the drugs as potential longevity tools, while also underscoring how much remains unknown about their long-term effects beyond obesity and diabetes care.
