Pentagon Says Trump Approves Execution of Fort Hood Gunman Nidal Hasan by Firing Squad
The Pentagon said President Donald Trump has approved the execution of former Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, the convicted Fort Hood shooter, by firing squad, a rare and legally consequential step in a case that has lingered for years. Hasan was sentenced to death after a court-martial found him guilty of killing 13 people and wounding 32 others in the 2009 attack at an Army base in Texas.
