Residents Report Eritrean Troops Advancing Deep Into Ethiopia’s Tigray Region

Residents in Adigrat, a major town in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, told the BBC they have seen truckloads of Eritrean soldiers moving south, raising fresh alarm over the fragile security situation along the border. The reports, if confirmed, would signal a significant and potentially destabilising military movement in a region still scarred by years of war and unresolved tensions between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
