Jio’s Mega IPO Draws Record Rs 2.5 Lakh Crore Anchor Demand as BlackRock, GIC and LIC Join
Jio Platforms has triggered one of the strongest institutional responses ever seen in India’s capital markets, with anchor demand reportedly reaching about Rs 2.5 lakh crore ahead of its Rs 30,200 crore initial public offering. The offering, set to open on October 21 with a price band of Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 per share, has drawn participation from marquee global and domestic investors including BlackRock, GIC and LIC. The company plans to use most of the proceeds to reduce debt, a move that could strengthen its balance sheet and sharpen investor confidence.
