Vivek Venugopal’s Miniature Piano Works Turn Fleeting Ideas Into Chamber Drama

Indian composer and pianist Vivek Venugopal is drawing attention with Miniatures for Piano, Op. 30 & Opp. 16, 17, a recording that reframes brief musical sketches as concentrated works of character and craft. Recorded in Moscow with musicians from the Bolshoi circle, the album pairs solo piano writing with clarinet and oboe duos, widening the emotional and timbral range of the project.
