Supreme Court Urges Centre to Consider Exempting Class 6 Students from CBSEโs Three-Language Rule This Year
The Supreme Court has asked the Centre to consider whether students entering Class 6 should be exempted this year from the Central Board of Secondary Educationโs three-language policy, signalling judicial concern over the timing and practical impact of the reform. The courtโs intervention comes as CBSE has already clarified that current students in Classes 7, 8 and 9 will not be required to take a third-language board examination when they reach Class 10.
