IFC Commits โน672 Crore to JNPA for Shore Power Infrastructure
The International Finance Corporation, the World Bank Groupโs private-sector arm, has committed โน672 crore to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority to fund shore power infrastructure at Indiaโs busiest container gateway. The project will allow ships at berth to switch off diesel engines and draw electricity from the land grid, cutting emissions and improving air quality around the port.
