RBI May Lift Repo 50-75 bps as Inflation, Crude and Yields Bite: Archit Shah Flags Bond Strategy Shift
The Reserve Bank of India could raise the repo rate by another 50-75 basis points to 5.75%-6% if inflation, crude prices and global bond yields remain elevated, according to Archit Shah, CIO at Zurich Kotak General Insurance. He said investors should stay patient on duration and lean on carry and roll-down strategies as bond portfolios face tighter liquidity and higher correlation across assets.
