Andhra Pradesh Mandates 70% Renewable Power for Data Centres as Visakhapatnam Push Accelerates
Andhra Pradesh will require at least 70% of the electricity used by data centres to come from renewable sources as part of a broader push to turn Visakhapatnam into a major digital infrastructure hub, IT Minister Nara Lokesh said. The state is also addressing water demand through the Polavaram Left Bank Canal and desalination plants, reflecting a sustainability-first strategy for attracting large technology investments.
