India’s logistics industry is projected to expand to $600 billion by 2031-32, according to a DPIIT official, underscoring the sector’s growing role in supporting manufacturing and broader economic expansion. The official said logistics costs are expected to decline to about 8% of GDP, a level that would strengthen competitiveness and improve supply-chain efficiency across the economy.
