Allahabad High Court Judge Questions Rare Full Court Meetings, Calls Recent Ones ‘Stage-Managed’
A judge of the Allahabad High Court has raised sharp concerns over the functioning of full court meetings, saying the last two appeared “stage-managed” and questioning why such meetings have been convened only 16 times in the past decade. The remarks have drawn attention to the internal governance of one of India’s largest high courts and to the constitutional expectation that the Chief Justice convene a full court meeting once every three months.
