India Sets Up FTA Utilisation Cell to Turn Trade Deals Into Measurable Gains
India has established a dedicated Free Trade Agreement utilisation cell to help exporters and importers make fuller use of preferential trade pacts, Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said on Wednesday. The move comes as New Delhi seeks to prove that its newer FTAs, negotiated with more complementary economies, can deliver stronger trade outcomes than earlier agreements that were often underused.
